The Languages Inspiring Barad-dur and Mordor

So, I have been researching on the names and etymology used in Middle Earth and I made two great discoveries:

In Urdu, Barad-dur (The Dark Tower of Sauron) means ‘Bara’ as big or huge and ‘dur’ as faraway or distant.

In Pashto, Mordor means to decay or die or waste away unwanted.

These original meanings in the different languages seem similar in the use by Professor J. R. R. Tolkien for Middle Earth.

It’s my theory that Tolkien may have used these languages in his epic novel, for Tolkien was familiar with them due to World War 1. But out of racism or not knowing them fully, he hasn’t mentioned them.

It is quite possible.

Just a theory.
