I stare into the eyes of a lemur,
pits of darkness, leading
into the yellow rings of hell.
A hunger haloes over, feeding
on my will, the sight of fur
whiter than the moon, my skin
crawls, my eyes watching a death bell—
a leaf breaks, the air rings,
the eyes of the lemur splash in red,
as it screeches, clawing at its head.
Wrote this one for my younger sisters who challenged me to write a poem with the first line :>

Dare to disturb the universe?
