Solitude

Solitude once came to me
And asked me to be its friend
But, cruelly, I refused.
And went to find a friend
In the thoughtless crowd
But I got pushed, I got lost,
Hurt and bruised.
Solitude found me
And I apologized for the cruelty.
Well, solitude never left me again.

Noone will be pushed off a cliff. Probably.
